Benzodiazepines contain a class of treatments frequently prescribed for the management of anxiety. Popular benzodiazepines include Tavor, Valium, Rivotril, and Ativan. Each of these medications operates on the central nervous system to increase the effects of a neurotransmitter known as GABA. This results in a calming effect, decreasing feelings of
